Dr. Jeff Smoak, professor and chair of the Music Department, presents the Phyllis Richardson Wood Scholarship to Jared Adams.

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — Jared Adams received the Music Department’s Phyllis Richardson Wood Scholarship during the 50th annual Honors Day convocation at University of the Cumberlands on April 27.

Jared Adams, the son of Mark and Linda Adams of London, is a junior instrumental music major. In addition to receiving a scholarship, Adams will perform with the music faculty in the Phyllis Richardson Wood Scholarship Concert, which will be performed in the fall. The award is named in memory of Phyllis Richardson Wood, who was an active supporter of the University of the Cumberlands Music Department.
