WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. —On April 27, at the fiftieth annual Honors Day celebration, University of the Cumberlands recognized the accomplishments of its outstanding students. One of those students is Janet Scheitlin, daughter of Roy and Dorothy Scheitlin of Radcliff, who received a Student Government (SGA) Leadership Award.

Scheitlin is pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology. A member of the Beta Beta Beta Biology honor society, she is the SGA representative for Asher Hall, and the vice president of Asher Hall’s house council. Following graduation she plans to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy.

Each year, the SGA Leadership Award is presented to two seniors, one male and one female, who have demonstrated leadership and have made significant contributions to campus life through service in SGA.
