Youth Pastor Greg Thompson Speaks at University of the Cumberlands' Convocation Ceremony |
||
Thompson read from the book of Romans, using its words to encourage the audience to live a Christian life and to demonstrate Christ like values. He explained the difference between being a “Christian” and a “believer.” According to Thompson, a “Christian” should be “Christ like” and a “believer” is someone who believes in Christ but may not be living “Christ like.” Carl and Heather Cartee, a talented couple from Nashville, Tenn., also participated in the convocation ceremony, leading the students in songs filled with praise and worship. University of the Cumberlands, located in Williamsburg, Ky., is a private liberal arts university in its 116th year of operation. UC offers four undergraduate degrees in 37 major fields of study, 30 minors and nine pre-professional programs.
