Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration at Cumberlands |

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - On January 18, University of the Cumberlands Campus Democrats sponsored a commemoration of the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. The program featured several guest speakers. Dr. Tyrone Bynoe assistant professor of education at Cumberlands spoke about King’s life and how his work has advanced diversity in America. Bob Terrell, a former Ford executive shared his various life experiences and illustrated the differences between the “separate but equal era” and current times. Joseph Moore, a Cumberlands junior and resident assistant and Chris Felder, a senior and the program’s coordinator, also spoke. |
