Homecoming and Family Weekend at Cumberland |

“This was a great weekend,” said John Shemwell. “I’m so glad I got the opportunity to see what my daughter does on the weekend, meet her friends, see her dorm room and just spend some quality time with her.” For alumnus Jim Hicks, the highlight of his weekend was the football game. “Coming to the game really brings back memories,” said Hicks.
Not only did participants enjoy athletic events, but they also enjoyed festivities surrounding the parade. Some received balloon animals or face paintings while others had their portrait drawn.
“Not much about Cumberland has changed except the name and updated buildings,” said alumna Martha Brooks. “I thought that the Christian atmosphere would have declined over the years but it really hasn’t. It’s good to know that students are still learning in good surroundings.” |
