Rogers honored at University of the Cumberlands


Kelly Rogers receives honors during Convocation.

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. —Each year, the undergraduate Psychology Department recognizes excellence in the areas of psychology.

Kelly Andrew Rogers has received the Psychology Departmental Award for 2010-11 during the 51st annual Honors Day convocation at University of the Cumberlands on April 26. He was named a student of Honor and was named to membership in Psi Chi, a national honor society for students in psychology. Rogers was also named a Hutton Scholar, an honor bestowed on graduating seniors who have contributed 200 or more volunteer hours to community service during their college careers. Broughton, of West Chester, Ohio, is a senior pursuing a psychology major.

Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in psychology, for the purpose of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship and advancing the science of psychology.

To receive recognition for Honor, a student must attain a minimum of 3.70 cumulative, grade point average.
