Dr. Cindi Norton presents Norma Rueda with the 2010 Fitness and Sport Management Award.

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — Norma Rueda received two awards at the 51st annual Honors Day Convocation, on April 26, at University of the Cumberlands. She was awarded the Spanish Major Award by Cory McClellan, assistant professor of English. She then received the Health, Exercise and Sport Science Department’s 2010 Fitness and Sport Management Award, presented by that department’s Chair, Dr. Cindi Norton.

Rueda graduated on May 8 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in fitness and sport management. She is from El Paso, Texas.

Departmental awards are awarded based on a student’s academic achievement, service to the department and service to the University.
