SEKRI makes gift of $5,000 to University of the Cumberlands

Williamsburg, Ky. – University of the Cumberlands received a $5,000 gift from Southeast Kentucky Rehabilitation Industries, Inc. (SEKRI), Wednesday, September 22, 2010. The gift is to be applied to the University’s SEKRI scholarship fund, and will be disbursed in $1,000 increments to five qualifying students during the 2010-2011 school year.

UC students can apply for SEKRI scholarships in the Office of Financial Planning, located in the Gatliff building. To meet eligibility requirements, students must be from Whitley, Laurel or Knox counties in Ky. or Campbell Co., Tenn.

SEKRI is a non-profit organization with locations in Corbin, Barbourville, Williamsburg, Cumberland and Paris, Ky., as well as Jellico, Tenn. Mr. Norm Bradley, Executive Director at SEKRI, said “we’re always glad to work with Dr. Taylor and University of the Cumberlands.”
