Chuck Lawless to speak at UC’s Franklin P. Owen Conference on Missions and the Church

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. –University of the Cumberlands is pleased to host the sixth annual Franklin P. Owen Conference on Missions and the Church. The conference, featuring Dr. Charles E. (Chuck) Lawless Jr., will be held on Cumberlands’ campus in Williamsburg on Monday, March 7 through Wednesday March 9.

Lawless is the featured speaker at Monday and Wednesday’s convocation services held at 10 a.m. on March 7 and March 9. He will also speak in several classes during his visit.

Lawless, a 1985 graduate of Cumberland College, is currently the dean of the Billy Graham School of Missions and Evangelism at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. In addition to his duties as dean and professor, Lawless also serves as Vice President for Academic Programming and Director of Professional Doctoral Studies. He is a published author in the fields of discipleship and missions and a well-respected and in-demand speaker across the nation.
