WILLIAMSBURG, KY.—University of the Cumberlands’ student Lacy Walters presented her senior art exhibit, “Universal and Unavoidable" to the public March 28 through April 1, in the J.M. Boswell Art Gallery on UC’s campus. Walter’s collection was a mix of different mediums, with the main focus on a collage of brightly-colored, sports-focused digital pieces. These works were original sports photos taken by Walters at UC sports events; the photos were then manipulated with layers of color and brushes in Photoshop. Along with digital photography, other mediums included in the exhibit were charcoal, conte crayon, oil paintings, pastels and 35 millimeter photography. Upon graduation, Walters will work in Multimedia and Athletic Services at UC as its sports and graphics coordinator. Walters is an art major and communications minor, and a native of Williamstown, Ky. |
