It’s all here for the taking and learning. Be a mentor, actor, debater, house builder, philosopher, singer or quiz bowl whiz. Those are just a few of the activities available to add to your college experience. New clubs develop every year according to someone’s inspiration and interest. Maybe you’ll have the next bright idea for an up and coming club.
Share a pizza. Eat popcorn. Play cards. Watch a movie. Life on campus is just that – life. It’s your schedule. As a freshman, you can bring your car to UC to travel the surrounding area. But you’ll probably hang close by, soaking in all the fun planned weekly by the Campus Activity Board.
Clubs & Organizations
This is your chance to try something new. It doesn’t matter what you did in high school – this is a new beginning. Meet people with your same interests. Get out of your comfort zone and take a chance in a new group, whether your personality is high-energy or low-key. You’ll feel welcome and learn something about yourself. With over 35 clubs and organizations, there's something for everyone!
Between studying and sleeping, dining options are a top priority for an incoming college student. UC students have three delicious locations to use their meal plan: the Campus Grill, the TJ Roberts Dining Hall and the Patriot Steakhouse (where steak is always on the student meal plan!). Explore the hours, menus and more that will fuel your education and experience at UC.
Campus Activity Board (CAB)
At UC, CAB stands for the Campus Activities Board. Students involved with CAB help plan activities for their fellow students like concerts, comedians, live entertainment, ice cream socials, paint festivals, water slides and always have an endless amount of school spirit.
Mountain Outreach has been nationally recognized. Students and faculty have built more than 147 houses through the charity organization since it began in 1982. You’ll be an expert in no time with power tools, hammers and levelers. There’s something about a drill that gets your adrenaline flowing.
