The mission of the Online Education Program at the University of the Cumberlands is to provide access to postsecondary education while increasing the opportunities for students to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their academic and career goals.

University of the Cumberlands offers 11 full degree programs at the masters and doctoral levels, with several of the programs having multiple emphases. Additionally, over 20 general education courses are offered fully online.

Using sophisticated technology, including the ANGEL 7.4 learning management system, and the Elluminate communication software, students are able to complete their courses in the Hybrid, synchronous, and asynchronous formats.

Faculty have the highest level of expertise in their fields, and are fully trained in the area of online teaching and learning; thus allowing them to provide a collaborative learning environment with students that incorporates a pedagogy that fosters the skills of self-directed learning.
