Organized according to the model of the United States Government—with Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches—the Student Government Association is dedicated to giving students a voice through elected representatives. In addition to promoting student concerns and working as a liaison between students and college administrators, the SGA provides a number of important services, including running shuttles to and from the local Wal-Mart Supercenter, malls in Lexington and Knoxville, and regional bus terminals and airports. In addition, the SGA sponsors a number of student-centered events throughout the year.
