Each year UCTV-19 enters the Excellence in Journalism contest held in conjunction with the Baptist Press Student Journalism Conference. The entries are judges by professional journalists with the prize being awarded each fall at the conference held at the headquarters of the Baptist Press in Nashville, Tennessee.
