Students use a pay phone on campus in 1971

Whisper those words of wisdom and let it be.

The Vietnam war raged on as thousands of Americans joined protests here at home. 18 year olds could vote for the first time and we celebrated our first Earth Day. Music also brought us together, but we found ourselves within that hour of darkness when the world lost Hendrix, then Janis and when Paul told us The Beatles were no more.

On campus, plans for a new student center were released. The college announced our presence to every traveller with a billboard along the interstate. All the guys had sideburns and every gal had a mini-skirt and every minute not spent in class was spent inside the Wigwam.

It's time to walk back down memory lane and relive some of the best year's of your life. Make sure to join us on campus October 22 & 23. As part of this year's festivities, we will honor both the classes of 1970 and 1971. Saturday night, before the football game, a special tailgate area will be established for you to gather with your classmates.
