This advanced leadership research seminar course will provide students with principles and core concepts for leading global and multicultural organizations. Students will conduct a study of various management theories including leadership styles and multiculturalism, complexity of cultures, cultural frameworks and their importance for leaders, ethnic and racial identity models, development of multicultural competencies, multicultural training approaches, and conflict management among others. The final project in the seminar will be the development of a scholarly research paper analyzing a contemporary leadership issue in global and multicultural organizations. Prerequisite: BROL 700 or permission from the Program Director. Credit, 3 hours.
