DPT 735 Clinical Biomechanics

This course provides students with a background in fundamental biomechanical principles that describe human movement. Topics include tissue mechanical properties, friction, linear and angular motion, stability and center of gravity, and motion analysis of activities of daily living. A movement screen and analysis of normal and pathological walking and running gait will be introduced. Observational and instrumented technologies will be used to study movement.
