ENGL535. Studies in Modern Literature

This course examines a varied combination of English, American, and world literature of the twentieth century. The specific focus will change from year to year. A given course may be organized according to genre (fiction, poetry, or drama), topic (e.g. the Southern Renaissance, expatriate literature of the 1920's or the Irish Literary Revival), or representative and related authors (such as "Joyce Yeats, Eliot" or "Williams, Miller, O'Neill"). Students will produce a research paper/project commensurate with the Department's standards for graduate level classes.
