Students will be engaged in community service programs with community agencies as a fundamental part of this course. Students will begin by identifying a need in the community that relates to the student’s assigned agency. Further, students will develop a program as a response to the need and then begin to implement the program. Students will also participate in a seminar to address communication skills, relationship skills, and the study of and exposure to underserved and under- represented populations. Students will be required to complete 100-125 contact hours within the community. Prerequisite: 3 credit hours in core courses of major. Credit, 3 hours. This course may not be repeated for additional course credit. To
