HSRV432. Addictions and Recovery

this course provides students with an opportunity to explore human behavior from an addiction perspective. It is intended to be an introduction to the effects of psychoactive drugs, from the interations between chemicals and brain cells, to the psychological and physiological effects on the individual, to the impact upon the community. The course also explores multiple treatment methodologies and theories. Prerequisite: HSRV131. Credit, 3 hours. Offered fall semesters.
