This survey course covers the full spectrum of early childhood education from birth through age 5 in early childhood or kindergarten settings. . It provides an overview of topics that will be explored in depth in subsequent coursework and is designed to provide a general knowledge base of professional Early Childhood Education. History, curriculum, program applications, and current trends and issues are examined through a. thorough examination of day–to-day aspects of standards-based, developmentally appropriate teaching of all young children. There are 10 field hours required for this course.
