NURS112. Fundamental Nursing Application I

 During this course the student nurse learns technical procedures used to provide direct patient care. The course is designed to progress from simple to more complex while allowing the student to understand the rationale for various treatments and procedures. The student will perform nursing skills and function within the scope of practice of the Registered Nurse. Students will participate in 60 clock hours of simulation lab training and must successfully pass a skills checkoff prior to being permitted to enter the 120 clock hour clinical rotation. Pre-requisite: Admission to the Nursing program. Co-requisite: NURS 110 Fundamental Nursing I (3 hours)
