This advanced management research seminar course will provide students with principles and core concepts of management theory and practice. Students will conduct a study of various management theories including classical and modern management theories, human relations and social psychological theories, group behavior,and systems and contingency approaches among others. Students will also conduct a study of the practice of management including organizations, structures and communications, corporate governance, planning and quality standards, among others. The final project in the seminar will be the development of a scholarly research paper analyzing a contemporary management theory or application issue.Prerequisite: BROL 700 or permission from the Program Director. Credit, 3 hours.
