Upon completion of this cyber security degree program, you can be ready for upper-level positions in the information security field, and become proficient at preventing or mitigating the risk of loss of data. This program seeks to:
- Prepare you to develop and implement security policies
- Prepare you to manage compliance with federal regulations that apply to information security
- Teach you to create disaster prevention and recovery plans
- Help you learn to recognize and prevent problems that occur due to hardware, software and network configurations
University of the Cumberlands has been named a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). There are just over 200 universities nationwide with CAE-CD designation, and only two other universities in Kentucky included in this elite group.
