Accreditation

University of the Cumberlands is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, education specialist and doctorate degrees. Initial accreditation date was 1964. Recent reaffirmation date was December 2016. Next reaffirmation date is Class of 2026. School of Nursing National Accreditation

The online RN-BSN degree program at University of the Cumberlands is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education , 655 K Street, NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791. Accreditation was initially issued Fall 2015.

The RN-BSN program has applied for nursing program reaccreditation through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The program will undergo a site evaluation September 30, 2020-October 2, 2020 during which time the evaluation team will conduct a virtual site visit of the campus at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY.

You are invited to submit, in writing, comments concerning the programs qualifications and experiences for accreditation.  Written third-party comments will be received by CCNE until 21 days before the scheduled on-site evaluation.  Third-party comments may be submitted to CCNE in writing via the address printed above or thirdpartycomments@ccneaccreditation.org

CCNE shares third-party comments with the evaluation team prior to the on-site evaluation, but at no time during the review process are these comments shared with the program, the Accreditation Review Committee, or the Board. During its review of the program, the evaluation team considers third-party comments, if any, that relate to the accreditation standards.

Written third party comments will be accepted by CCNE until September 9, 2020.
