Every five years, the Office of Alumni Services at University of the Cumberlands launches an Alumni Directory Project. It is time to update our records and once again, we have partnered with Publishing Concepts, Inc. (PCI) to update our alumni records and to provide printed and digital directories. We have assembled our records and PCI will be making contact with alumni from December 2019 until December 2020 to confirm our information.
The directory project is an opportunity for you, as alumni, to connect with former classmates and friends, and we want to be sure that you receive the latest news and invitations to our events.
Alumni will be contacted by PCI via a postcard, phone call, and e-mail regarding details which will allow you to update your contact information. At this time, you will also have the option to order a copy of the directory in several different formats and price ranges, as well as the option to make a donation to the university. Your purchases will be securely processed. You are under no obligation to purchase a directory or to make a donation.
While you may be looking forward to updating your information, you may also have questions about how your information will be handled after the directory has been printed. The Office of Alumni Services always has the best interest of our alumni in mind when we make decisions to partner with companies. The security of your information is of the utmost importance.

I received an email/postcard/phone call from a company asking for my personal information. They said they were working on a directory for University of the Cumberlands. Is this a legitimate project, or is it a scam?
We have partnered with PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to produce our new alumni directory. PCI is a company located in Dallas, TX that publishes directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities, and military organizations across the nation. This project allows University of the Cumberlands to receive important updates to our database so we know more about our alumni and how we can better serve you and future alumni.
Does University of the Cumberlands benefit from this at all?
Yes, in a few different ways:
- Updated Information – Allows us to effectively communicate with and engage alumni
- Legacy – Preserves the history of our school
- Revenue – Generates scholarship revenue from alumni who choose to donate
How do I know my information will only be used for directory purposes?
University of the Cumberlands has a contractual agreement with PCI that states:
- The names, addresses and information provided to PCI by University of the Cumberlands for the publication of the Directory will be held confidential by PCI, except to the extent that they are utilized in, or in the preparation of, the Directory and except as required by court order or law.
- The Directory will be made available only to alumni of University of the Cumberlands. Upon completion of the project, PCI will return to University of the Cumberlands any and all electronic files that have been supplied by University of the Cumberlands or produced by PCI in connection with the production of the Directory.
I would like to verify and update my information. How may I do this?
If you have received a postcard or an email with a telephone number, you may call the number to speak with a dedicated representative for the University of the Cumberlands project. The representative will verify all the information we have on file for you and make any updates where needed. One of the numbers for the University of the Cumberlands alumni is 855-262-4490.

Can anyone purchase a directory?
The University of the Cumberlands Alumni Directory is available for sale only to University of the Cumberlands alumni.
When will I receive my directory?
The total duration of the directory project is about 12 months. Since we began the project in December 2019, the directories will be distributed in December 2020.
Can I choose some or all of my information not to be printed in the directory?
When you call to update your information, you can tell the representative what information you prefer to have excluded. You may also communicate this information to the PCI customer service desk at 1.800.982.1590 or to the Alumni Association directly.
I ordered a directory/package over the phone and would like to cancel my order. How do I do this?
Call the PCI customer service help desk at 1.800.982.1590 and they will take care of this for you.
