Dr. Chris Anama-Green enjoys working with future educators to ensure that they are prepared to be successful in the classroom. In addition to his work with University of the Cumberlands, he works as a school counselor in eastern Kentucky.
Dr. Anama-Green's research interests include mindfulness in education, prevention of teacher burnout, and assessment in education. His current research applies epidemiology tools and biostatistical analyses to examine the relationship between teacher burnout and teacher mindfulness. He has previously been involved in public health-related research projects related to infectious disease, obesity and the built environment, occupational health indicators, and environmental health indicators.
In his spare time, Dr. Anama-Green enjoys cooking, traveling, gardening, and writing.
