Dr. Jonathan Abramson is an Associate Professor at the University of the Cumberlands, School of Computer and Information Sciences (CIS). He was previously the academic program manager at Post University in Waterbury, CT in which he oversaw the CIS department and all the on-ground and online courses. He previously was at Stratford University, where he was the Faculty Lead for Computer Information Systems program and helped set-up the University's new campus and CIS program in Virginia Beach, VA. Jonathan aided Capital Community College in Hartford, CT in the development of a program in cybersecurity and was instrumental in aiding the school in winning a $4,000,000.00 TAACCCT federal grant which funded the program. He has taught online and on ground for several universities, primarily in computer information systems at the undergraduate and graduate level. Jonathan redesigned Post University’s Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems degree program and added new concentrations. Jonathan also worked with the Department of Defense to make sure that Post University’s BS in Computer Information Systems met the needs of the military and aided in the creation of articulation agreement with the US Army and US Air Force. Previous employers include the University of Connecticut Health Center, New Milford Savings Bank, and Computer Aided Engineering Associates, where he held information systems and technology positions.  Jon previously served in the US Army and in the CT Army National Guard. Jonathan is a reviewer for several journals including JISTEM - Journal of Information Systems and Technology Management, and IGI Global. He is most recognized for his skills in adult education, distance learning, e-learning, and instructional design.
