Dr. Schmuldt has taught for the University of the Cumberlands since 2014, and became a full-time faculty member in 2016. Her current research projects are related to group counseling and women's mental health. She regularly provides training on Dialectical Behavior Therapy and has presented at the state, national and international level. Dr. Schmuldt has worked in community mental health, college counseling, psychiatric hospital programs, and private practice. She lives in Wilmington, North Carolina with her German Shorthair Pointer, Wilma.
