Dr. Les Stovall joined the teaching faculty of UC in the Fall of 2017. He currently holds the CISSP, CISM, and CAP certifications. A United States Navy Veteran, he has spent the last two decades in information security and resides in Northern Virginia where he works for a large not-for-profit research and engineering government contractor working on "solving problems for a safer world". In his spare time he enjoys watching his kids participate in a variety of sports and extracurricular activities (orchestra, gymnastics, lacrosse, and basketball) and staying current on information security topics. His research areas of interest involve security education, awareness, and training. His dissertation, “Improving Employee Phishing Awareness – A Case Study” provided practical guidance to organizations for adapting training methods to elicit the greatest knowledge retention possible.
