In addition to her role at UC, Elizabeth Barnes, MSPAS, PA-C holds certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed to practice medicine in Kentucky and Ohio. Additionally, she is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Ohio Academy of Physician Assistants, the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Physician Assistant Education Association. Currently, she practices clinically one day per week in urgent care and is pursuing her Ph.D. in Leadership at UC. She has also worked clinically in interventional pain management and in the Federal Bureau of Prisons. She is originally from Barbourville, KY, and lives currently in Burlington, KY with her husband, daughter, and golden retriever Cargo.
