Bio:
Jake is an accomplished professional currently serving as a Student Success Coordinator for the School of Computer and Information Sciences at the esteemed University of the Cumberlands. With a passion for technology and a wealth of experience, Jake brings a diverse skill set to his role.

In addition to his work in academia, Jake is the proud owner of Jeffers PC Repair, a local PC repair company. Through this venture, he has honed his technical expertise and developed a keen understanding of the challenges individuals face in the rapidly evolving world of technology.

Jake’s journey in the field of IT began with a successful stint as a process engineering intern, where he demonstrated his ability to analyze complex systems and implement efficient solutions. Inspired by this experience, he embarked on a career in education, spending three years as a dedicated high school computer science teacher. During this time, he not only imparted knowledge but also fostered a love for technology among his students.

Driven by a desire to delve deeper into the realm of technology, Jake is currently pursuing a PhD in Information Technology specializing in Cyber Engineering at the University of the Cumberlands. Jake’s research interests include artificial intelligence, robotics systems, and cybersecurity. He continuously explores the intricacies of these subjects, staying abreast of the latest advancements.

As an adjunct faculty member, Jake brings a unique blend of practical expertise and academic knowledge to the classroom. With his dedication to education, strong technical skills, and commitment to ongoing professional growth, Jake strives to empower his students with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in the dynamic and ever-evolving field of technology.
