University of the Cumberlands invites you to enjoy its Recent Acquisitions Exhibit August 24 through September 23. Featuring pieces in the Universitys permanent collection, the exhibit includes works by James Whistler, Mary Cassatt, Matthew Brady, Ben Shahn & Dorthea Lang. The collection includes watercolor, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, and photography. The works of local artists and former University professors David Lockwood and Kenneth Weedman are also shown.
Williamsburg, Ky.-High school seniors and their parents will have the opportunity to explore life on campus during University of the Cumberlands Campus Discovery Day to be held Saturday, October 15 with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. Other UC Campus Discovery Days will be scheduled for November 19, 2005 and February 25, 2006.

Williamsburg, Ky - Cumberland Valley National Bank recently awarded University of the Cumberlands a donation of $1000.00. The donation will aid UC in a variety of ways, with portions being given to increase the general fund as well as the scholarship fund.

Maiden Drug, located in Williamsburg, recently donated what will be an annual scholarship of $2000.00 to two graduates entering University of the Cumberlands. The scholarship is to be split equally to support the academic scholarship of one graduate of the Williamsburg Independent School and one graduate of Whitley County High School.
The convocation service held on Monday, August 29, at University of the Cumberlands, sparked the beginning of a new school year for students. The university family was introduced to new faculty and staff and heard the message of the service's guest speaker, Dr. Bill Henard.

Join University of the Cumberlands (formerly Cumberland College) for a Patriot Day Celebration being held Saturday, September 10. Come enjoy a free outdoor concert by Central Kentucky Brass Quintet. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Prior to the concert, a picnic dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Picnic tickets are $10 for individuals and $25 for a family.
