Diversity Council students host events to discuss issues that affect campus

The Diversity Leadership Council Open Windows discussions are incredibly productive. Student leaders meet independently with their groups to discuss a variety of topics and how those topics have affected school and their social circles. Although there were different perspectives and conversations were passionate, the leaders do an excellent job of keeping the group focused on the problem/issue and the solution. Through these sessions, we have remained open-minded, empathetic, and understanding while learning more about themselves.

Topics include:

  • COVID on Campus
  • Gender Roles in Society
  • Disabilities
  • Branding Yourself

These meetings have not only been educational but impactful as well. Students learn to view these divisive topics through a different perspective.
