David Threlkeld, a music professor at University of the Cumberlands, recently served as a guest conductor for two different high school select jazz ensembles in Western Kentucky. In April, Threlkeld travelled to Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky, to lead the Kentucky Music Educators Association's (KMEA) District One Jazz Ensemble. Then, in May, he led the District Three Jazz Ensemble at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green.
In recognition of academic performance, the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs has announced the students named to the President's List for the 2016 spring semester. To be eligible, students must maintain a minimum cumulative scholastic standing of 4.00 and achieve a grade of “A” in convocation.
