ITGS130. Introduction to Game Development

Students are introduced to important facets of the gaming business—including non-digital games, independent games, up to the most recent digital games—through fundamental topics and practical experiences. Through in-class activities, the roles and responsibilities of the game production team are addressed and practiced. Genres are also presented, explored, and critically analyzed. Additionally, gaming industry stakeholders and their relationships are examined, while their diverse perspectives are considered. A group project is the course's final assignment.
