This introductory research and writing course will provide students with a foundation for their doctoral study. Students will engage in learning activities to become proficient readers of academic texts, understand the process of academic writing, become proficient with APA style guidelines, and to understand the dissertation process. Students will develop a scholar-practitioner perspective through reading, writing, and reflection within their discipline. Students will be evaluated on their research and writing skills during this course with the primary goal of preparing students for their advanced seminar research courses and dissertation. Credit, 3 hours.
