Mid-BCC (The Mid)

It’s Worry Free Wednesday—and what is it that we don’t do on Wednesday? We don’t worry.
Whenever I was little and I got a little fidgety, my moms would always make me sit on my hands so I would be still. My brain still fidgeted all over the place, so I don’t think it helped me much—but at least I looked calm on the outside. Funny thing is, even as I got older, my brain never stopped fidgeting.

You know, I was thinking the other day about why people get so angry while driving. It doesn’t really make sense. You never see cows in a field getting mad and running past each other. Cows just…exist. Man, milk is good. Especially strawberry milk. You can’t really dunk a cookie in it, but it’s still the leader of the milks. I used to drink the strawberry milk with the funny rabbit on the carton. Silly rabbit. Trix are for kids.I don’t really eat cereal much anymore. And even for someone so big into cereal, you never really saw Jerry Seinfeld eat much of it—Kramer did. Now that guy needed to sit on his hands. But honestly? I bet Kramer didn’t worry much. His brain was just busy.

That’s kind of the point. Some brains don’t stop spinning. They hop. They wander. They connect cows to milk to cereal to sitcoms without asking permission. And telling them to “just sit still” doesn’t stop the motion—it just hides it.

So this Worry Free Wednesday, we’re leaning into it. Grab a fidget spinner. Let your hands spin so your brain can breathe. No expectations. No overthinking. No worrying about whether you’re doing it “right.” If your thoughts bounce around a little—that’s okay. That’s just your brain fidgeting.

And on Wednesdays, we don’t worry about that.
