This non-majors lab course for students with a limited background in biology is intended to accompany the Biology and Society Lecture, BIOL 131, and help students better understand the science process. The course may not be used to satisfy hours for the biology major/minor, but will satisfy 1 of the required 4 hours of Scientific Reasoning in the General Education Curriculum. The lab activities are designed to offer experience with the process of science, data analysis, data interpretation, and communication of science content. One and one half laboratory hours per week. Co- or prerequisite: BIOL 131 or equivalent. One laboratory hour per week. Credit, 1 hour. Offered fall semester.
