Curriculum and Degree Requirements

The Criminal Justice Management Certificate is a graduate-level online certificate open to members of law enforcement in the state of Kentucky and all across the United States. All coursework is delivered in a 100% asynchronous format. Each course is delivered by graduate faculty of the UC Criminal Justice Department. Completion of the CJM Certificate satisfies the requirements set forth by the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council for completion of KLEC’s School of Strategic Leadership.

Required Courses:

  • CROL 535 Ethical Issues in Justice Administration
  • CROL 537 Leadership Fundamentals
  • CROL 631 Law Enforcement Administration
  • CROL 632 Critical Issues in Law Enforcement: Race & Gender

Students who complete the Criminal Justice Management Certificate will receive a certificate from KLEC indicating completion of KLEC’s School of Strategic Leadership (SSL). Graduates of the program will also be eligible for admission to the Master of Science in Justice Administration degree program upon completing a master’s application and submitting all required documentation.
