What Is It?
Our hybrid master’s in information systems security is a two-year program taught by industry-experienced instructors. Access to 24/7 technical support and a dynamic network of peers also enhances learning. Students can be confident in the career preparation they will receive since University of the Cumberlands has been named a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). There are just over 200 universities nationwide with CAE-CD designation, and only two other universities in Kentucky included in this elite group.
The hybrid format executive MS in Information Systems Security is a variation of our fully online program that includes a residency component, ideal for working professionals who want a program that works with their busy schedule but isn't completely online. The hybrid format also works well for international grad students with visas who have a CPT/OPT component to their degree. This STEM-designated degree program prepares candidates to manage the electronic protection of confidential information through a variety of technologies and software applications. Residency & Class Attendance Policy
Residency weekend sessions are mandatory. You must attend each session in full to receive credit. If you miss any part of the session, you will be counted absent for the entire session. No exceptions. If you miss a single class session, you may make it up at the end of the semester and be required to pay a make-up fee. Missing more than one residency session will result in dismissal from the University.
