Executive Master in Information Technology

Prepare for an IT Leadership Role!

Take your IT career to the next level with the Executive Master of Science in Information Technology Degree from the University of the Cumberlands.

We live in a connected world – one where cars “signal” us when a tire needs air, kitchen appliances “talk” to each other and malicious agents work to take advantage of our connectivity. Learn what it takes to manage these elements, maintain connectivity and fight the good digital fight.

Your Executive Master in IT program combines practical technical abilities with leadership “soft skills” to help you make the most of your career path. From predictive analytics to identifying cyber threats to using big data analytics for large industries, like healthcare, this program will open the door to leadership opportunities in virtually any industry.

Your IT leadership journey includes a mandatory three-day weekend residency session per semester.  You will take at least 31 credit-hours of theories, strategies and tactics in leadership, information security, data mining, business intelligence and decision-making processes. Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared to:

  • Organize, manipulate, analyze and visualize data with modern programs and tech
  • Extract actionable intelligence using various applications for business data
  • Make effective decisions using – and concerning – today’s technology
  • Identify cyber threats and make data-driven policy changes
  • Take the lead in cloud-computing initiatives
  • Recognize and prevent exploitation due to hardware, software and network
  • Explore leadership roles in IT across fields and industries
