Study Abroad
Undergraduate students are encouraged to enhance their academic and career success by immersing themselves in different cultural experiences offered through UC Study Abroad. Cumberlands offers regular study abroad programs in Costa Rica, England, Ireland, France, and Spain each year, as well as UC faculty-led courses abroad to other destinations. Appropriate transfer credit will be awarded for classes taken abroad which match Cumberlands coursework.

Why study in another country?
Study abroad has shown to improve students’ personal confidence, cultural sensitivity and awareness, while also broadening knowledge of the world in areas such as business, language, religion, medicine and many others. Cumberlands students talk about their experiences long after they’ve graduated, and tell us they’ve made lifelong friends and memories that still inspire them in their daily lives!
