BIO

Dr. Bowman is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and has a JrFit™ Youth Fitness Specialist Certification. In 2018, she became an Athlete Assessments© Consultant in DISC Behavioral Profiling and has assisted Cumberlands’ Athletic Department with professional development.

As an advocate for service, she is active with PatServe and has helped with Mountain Outreach over the years, as well as other service opportunities popping up across campus. In the Whitley County and Williamsburg, KY area, she is constantly involved with service projects including a local food pantry and University of Kentucky Extension for Fine Arts and Master Gardener programs. In 2018, she became a member of the newly formed community action group, Why Whitley. Members were tasked to create new ways to interact with downtown and promote positive aspects of the community through public art events, digital media campaigns, and intergenerational engagement. Dr. Bowman demonstrates an ongoing commitment to the campus and community.
