Dr.  Jason E James lives in Freedom, Indiana, a little town about 20 minutes west of Bloomington (home of Indiana University) but he is originally from Pittsburgh, PA.

Dr. James started his career as a Senior IT Auditor in 2006 with the Department of Defense Inspector General in Washington D.C. After a year in D.C., he transferred to a field office in Indianapolis. In 2010, Dr. James got hired as the Senior IT Team Lead Auditor and has been there ever since.

Through his experience in higher education, Dr. James has developed several IT courses including Introduction to Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, Cybersecurity Threats, Attacks, and Defense, Principles of Information Security, Introduction to Forensics I, and Security Audits and Risk Management to name a few.

In addition to current degrees, Dr. James recently started a master of science in Cybersecurity Risk Management from Indiana University in the fall of 2019 and also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), CompTIA Security +, and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

Dr. James is married with 4 children, 3 girls and a boy and lives on a 45 acre farm with horses, cows, dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, and pigs.
