Dr. Paz holds four active certifications: CPA Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania and Florida, CITP Certified Information Technology Professional, CFF, Certified in Financial Forensics and CGMA, and Certified Global Management Accountant. 

Before the transition to academia, she was a Chief Financial Officer for a franchisor and held several controllers and Corporate Controller positions.

Dr. Paz has several publications.   Her research interests are AIS, Forensic accounting, financial and managerial accounting, data analytics, and technology in the classroom.
