Heather Killian is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) who has worked in the field of health education and promotion for more than 25 years. She was a member of the first class of AmeriCorps National Service workers and trained students and adults in first aid and CPR, health and wellness, and disease and disaster prevention through the American Red Cross in Central Illinois.  As director of a Children’s Advocacy Center in western Pennsylvania, she coordinated a multidisciplinary team of professionals providing training, prevention, and treatment services to address child abuse and neglect. She currently teaches drug abuse prevention in the local public schools and public health classes at the University of the Cumberlands. Heather is committed to educating and empowering young people to understand, practice and promote healthy, life-giving behaviors.
