Executive PhD in Leadership
Academic institutions around the country need people who can guide and lead them in positive new directions. That could be you. With a Executive Doctorate in Leadership from University of the Cumberlands, you can prepare to become one of tomorrow’s leaders and take today’s institutions smartly into the future.
During the online doctoral program in educational leadership, you’ll participate in a comprehensive study of effective leadership, teaching and administrative methods. The Ph.D. in Leadership will also take an in-depth look at the politics involved in the educational decision-making process, program planning and assessment strategies.
As a student of our executive Ph.D. in leadership program, you will take three courses per semester; the first course matches our existing eight-week online graduate coursework, and the second is a 16-week course where you will be required to meet on campus one day per month, totaling three (3) eight-hour days per semester. The third course taken each semester is Applied Learning Practicum, in which students apply what they are learning in their other two courses to the real world via work or internship experiences. Classes for the doctorate in leadership include residency class days at our Northern Kentucky campus.
UC's Executive PhD in Leadership includes curriculum options that will allow you to become an advanced practitioner with community organizations, higher education institutions and K-12 schools.
