Dr. Justin Norton is as an adjunct professor at the University of the Cumberlands, as well as the Systems & Assessment Supervisor for the Newport City School District (Newport, TN). His prior work in education includes time at the school-level, being an assistant principal and a 7th grade social studies teacher. He also serves as a member of the Comprehensive Educational Resources (CER) consortium's steering committee in Tennessee, member of the First TN Supervisors Study Council, and Attendance Supervisors Group.

Dr. Norton feels blessed to be part of the University of the Cumberlands as an adjunct professor after having earned his doctorate from the school, while also being able to continue working day-to-day with teachers and students in his school district. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and visiting historical sites, state capitals, and national parks.
