For the past fifteen years, Dr. Mahoney has worked in higher education. She began her work as an adjunct professor. Upon completing her Ph.D. in education, she began working full-time at the University of the Cumberlands. Eventually, she moved into administration, when she began her position as the Director of Teaching and Learning Online. For the past eight years, Dr. Mahoney has taught in the graduate education program and is currently the Dean of a Liberal Arts program.
Dr. Mahoney resides in Lafayette, Louisiana with her husband and two dogs, an English Lab named Jax and a German Shepherd named, Niko. Dr. Mahoney enjoys watching and attending sporting, particularly the New York Yankees and New Orleans Saints.
